The Lord of the Rings TCG has followed Frodo, Sam, and the rest of the Fellowship through three movies and eight expansions in Middle-earth. Now their goal is in sight. Rounding out the King block and the story, the Mount Doom expansion is coming in July.

With starter decks based fittingly around Frodo and Sam, Mount Doom includes Shire cards that promote Hobbit-only Fellowships; new and more powerful elves; Aragorn, Elessar Telcontar and Éowyn, slayer of the Lord of the Nazgûl; and a cycle of Free Peoples conditions that encourage the loss of initiative. At the same time, the Shadow's power grows with Sauron orcs that become stronger when roaming; new wraiths; Nazgûl with a twisted form of Enduring that allows them to heal themselves to survive; and Gollum and Shelob in a powerful and dangerous gameplay combination.

The 122-card expansion includes 40 rare, 40 uncommon, and 40 common cards, plus two starter-only premium versions of Frodo and Sam.
